System Requirements for Installation

 

Minimum Hardware Requirements

• Intel® Core 2 Duo or AMD equivalent
  
• 1GB RAM, recommended 2GB RAM
  
• 1 GB available HD for software installation; 10 or more GB available for studies
  
• Minimum 24 bit color, recommended 32 bit color with the following resolution
  Screen aspect ratio Minimum supported resolution
  4:3 - 1024 x 768
  16:9 - 1366 x 768
  16:10 (8:5) -1280 x 800
  
• USB 2 support
  
• USB 2 HUB - All DR2s must connect through USB2 hub **
  ** If Windows XP is installed with hotfix Kb908673, there is no need for the USB 2 hub.

Operating System Requirements

• Windows XP SP2 and above, 32 & 64 bit
• Windows Vista* SP1 and above, 32 & 64 bit
• Windows 7, 32 & 64 bit
• Windows Server 2003, 32 & 64 bit
• Windows Server 2008, 32 & 64 bit
• *Windows Vista does not support PillCam studies prior to RAPID 4
  (compatible with 32-bit operating systems only)

 

Software Prerequisites

• Windows Internet Explorer - Version 6 or higher
• Adobe Flash Player
• PDF Reader Software such as Adobe Acrobat

Note: To run RAPID videos on a PC without RAPID Reader v6.3, please click here to download and install the MPEG4 Codec.

*The file size is 800 megabytes. The estimated download time for RAPID Reader v6.3 is:

• Dial-up (56Kbps) - approx: 63 hours
• DSL (1.5Mbps) - approx: 5 hours
• T1/Cable (12Mbps) - approx. 1 hour or less
