CLINICAL EDUCATION CONSULTANT
NORTHEAST or SOUTHWEST

 

Given Imaging is redefining medical technology by developing, producing and marketing innovative, patient-friendly diagnostic products.  We are currently seeking a Clinical Education Consultant in Northeast or Southwest. 

 

The Clinical Education Consultant will educate and train Given Imaging customers on clinical indications and applications of the Bravo pH Monitoring System and Capsule Endoscopy (CE) platform.  In this role, the CEC will help grow the Bravo business by providing triage and training to healthcare professionals and physicians currently using the Bravo system, as well as clinically assisting the Sales force with expansion of use of the product line.  Additionally, the CEC will have a similar clinical support role with Given’s PillCam platform.  The CEC also assists the Professional Relations and Education team with key initiatives, such as national courses (Given and ASGE), as well as webinars.  Day-to-day activities will involve conducting in-services on how to perform Bravo and CE procedures, training nursing staff and physicians on Bravo and CE indications, and developing greater depth of knowledge on the Given portfolio, which will lead to optimal utilization of Given’s family of products.  

 

The essential duties and responsibilities of the position include the following:

  • Work closely with Sales Management and the Professional Relations and Education department to identify targets and specific needs to increase customer understanding and use of Given Imaging’s products

  • Provide clinical education to targeted accounts through 1:1 interactions and sharing peer-reviewed literature and support materials focused on expanded indications

  • Conduct Bravo and Capsule Endoscopy educational courses at the national and regional level for physicians, GI fellows & nurses.

  • Provide feedback to Professional Relations and Education Department Management on opportunities to improve courses

  • Participate in and support Professional Relations and Education activities at trade shows, society events, and GI conferences

  • Communicate customer and competitive intelligence to the appropriate Marketing and Sales personnel

  • Support the education of selected referring networks of key GI accounts on the clinical application of Bravo and Capsule Endoscopy in selected patient populations

  • As appropriate, conduct training for Sales team to ensure they are equipped to successfully drive sales

 

The qualified candidate will possess and display the following skills and personal attributes:

  • Bachelors degree in a science discipline or an RN.

  • Prior adult education and training experience, in a Gastroenterology related field is a plus.

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with individuals at all levels in business.

  • Strong organization and time management skills.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Microsoft Office, Internet software, database software, contact management.

  • Able to troubleshoot basic technical issues that may occur with Given’s systems.

  • Extensive travel is required.

  • Up to 75 % travel required.
