TERRITORY MANAGER
DES MOINES, IA
Given Imaging is redefining medical technology by developing, producing and marketing innovative, patient-friendly diagnostic products. We are currently seeking a Territory Manager in Des Moines, IA.
This role will direct sell to, education and maintenance accounts in defined territory. You will ensure individual sales quotas are achieved within budget by selling the Given Imaging product offering to physicians, hospitals and out patient surgery centers via performing the following duties.
§ Achievement of Sales Plan
§ Work closely and in accordance with operations, quality, finance, human resources, reimbursement and marketing departments.
§ Maintain corporate image through professional and effective customer interaction.
§ Call on existing, new and prospective accounts throughout the assigned territory to develop customer relationships and achieve sales quota.
§ Reps will be actively selling in the ‘field’ a minimum of 4 days a week.
§ Display and demonstrate product using samples, the website, and other marketing collateral emphasizing salable features.
§ Quote prices, credit terms, estimate date of delivery to customer based on knowledge of production and delivery schedules.
§ Prepare reports of business forecasts, transactions and keeps expense records.
§ Will comply and manage the 4 C’s of selling.
§ Work with customer service representatives to keep account information up to date by entering new and changed customer data and other sales data into computer database.
§ Coordinate customer training and education seminar and grand rounds presentations.
§ Investigate and resolve customer problems.
§ Participate in scheduled Sales Meetings, Trade Shows and local events.
§ Work within Expense Budget
§ Adhere to Sales Logix reporting, and assure TM compliance to Sales Logix.
§ May require handling of non-conforming product per the Quality & Assurance procedures.
The successful candidate must possess and display the following skills and personal attributes:
§ 5 years prior sales experience with demonstrated sales success.
§ Experience in medical sales, capital sales and/or technical sales is a plus.
§ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
§ Excellent written and oral communication skills.
§ Organization, planning and time management skills
§ Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal and external customers.
§ Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
§ Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook and Internet software.
